A refined Tabriz in wool, this antique rug reads as an airy, garden-inspired field on an ivory-gold ground. Blue and turquoise palmettes and trailing floral sprays articulate a restrained, symmetrical composition framed by successive floral guards and a wide border. The low distress preserves a soft pile luster and even tone, while subtle abrash gives the field a lived, tactile warmth. The scale and detail remain clear across the 11' 0" x 18' 2" dimensions, a testament to careful dyeing and finish. Circa 1905 - 1955. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
