This Tabriz shows a softened, stepped medallion in muted red and warm brown against a neutral field. The dense floral ground and ornate border motifs read through a uniformly worn surface, offering tactile depth and a subdued satiny sheen. Medium distress and gentle abrash reveal layered colour and the slow patina of time. Woven in wool with careful drawing and an antique rug presence, the piece measures 11' 0" x 16' 0" and retains an architectural balance between medallion and ground. Circa 1900 - 1915. The overall effect is quietly refined, a study in aged pattern and colour.
