A restrained Farahan in wool, the composition centers on an ivory octagonal medallion set into a stepped red surround and a softly patterned field. Faded floral palmettes and a fine vine lattice read through a subdued palette of cream, white and red, while pale blue accents lend coolness to the surface. The borders retain their floral cartouches, mellowed by even use and medium distress that reveal the rug’s lived-in texture. This antique rug carries a quiet, heritage-aware presence across its 7' 9" x 10' 10" format. Circa 1900 - 1915.
