A saturated red wool Khotan arranged with a disciplined field of circular medallions and a pale central roundel that reads like a softened moon. The 4' 6" x 8' 4" antique rug balances vibrant reds with warm neutrals, gold and deep brown accents; borders composed of angular meanders and small rosettes frame the composition. Surface wear is modest, color shows subtle abrash and the wool pile has a soft, slightly polished finish that accentuates tonal depth. The pattern feels formal yet intimate, a heritage weaving where motif and texture age with restraint. Circa 1915 - 1945
