An elegantly faded Kysari in silk, 4' 4" x 4' 6", where a whisper-soft palette of pink, cream and warm beige reads like worn embroidery. The field carries a faint medallion suggestion and a central vase of flowers, framed by scrolling palmettes and layered borders. Silk pile shows even abrash and medium distress that softens motifs and lends a luminous, tactile patina. Edges and fringe show gentle abrading that complements the mellow surface; the scale is intimate and considered. This antique rug reads as a faded textile painting, quiet and richly textural. Circa 1900 - 1915.
