A Kalat wool runner, 2' 10" x 13' 4", rendered in a restrained neutral palette and anchored by a linear sequence of octagonal medallions down the centre. Medium distress has mellowed the original colouring into warm beige and cream fields, while subtle navy and faded blue accents punctuate the medallion outlines. Borders carry tightly scaled geometric repeats that read calm and rhythmic despite softened pile and slight edge fraying. The surface feels tactile and lived-in; the wear and abrash lend the piece an evident history. This antique rug demonstrates pattern, texture and time in equal measure. Circa 1900 - 1925
