A long, quietly patterned Sarab runner in wool, 3' 5" x 17' 6". A ribbon of alternating hexagonal medallions travels down an ivory field, each medallion worked in warm reds and brown rusts against fine geometric infill. The pile shows low, even wear and a soft, tactile patina, the borders retaining clear motif definition. The restrained palette and narrow format speak to sustained use and careful conservation; the surface reads calm and layered rather than bright. This antique rug balances heritage drawing and everyday tactility. Circa 1880 - 1900. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
