A Bessarabian woven in soft wool, the composition centers on a rococo-inspired floral cartouche rendered in cream and ivory against a warm brown field. Rectangular floral panels and linked geometric motifs form a structured border, while faint abrash and petal tones give the surface a painterly warmth. The wool has a tactile, settled nap with medium distress that reads as age and use rather than damage. This antique rug measures 6' 0" x 9' 4" and carries an understated, cultivated presence that feels at once decorative and restrained. Circa 1925 - 1940
