This Kerman presents an expansive, quietly luminous field of floral arabesques and palmettes rendered in soft cream, faded blue and dusty rose. The wool ground, worn to a supple low pile, shows even abrash and a medium level of distress, which gives the antique rug an immediate, lived-in warmth. A shallow central medallion and a network of scrolling vines remain legible against the pale neutral field; a broad paisley-influenced border frames the composition with time-softened definition. Circa 1885 - 1925. Measuring 10' 9" x 17' 1", the piece reads as a tactile study of age, colour modulation and skilled design.
