An elongated Mallayer runner in wool, 2' 11" x 16' 7", where a dense boteh field reads as an overall textured weave in warm brown and gold. Tiny paisley-like motifs repeat in disciplined rows, held by a narrow ivory geometric border that frames the composition. Surface abrasion and selective pile loss have softened the original contrasts, producing warm abrash and a tactile, lived-in surface. The scale and restraint of the design emphasize craft and pattern rather than pictorial narrative. This is an antique rug with evident age and hand, quietly preserved for continued character. Circa 1890 - 1910
