The composition centers on a formal palmette and vase motif with layered floral sprays and delicate urns, rendered with refined, small-scale drawing. Low distress preserves the pile and colour saturation, while subtle abrash lends depth across the field. This antique rug reads as both tactile and architectonic, the wool exhibiting a soft lustre that catches light. Circa 1880 - 1900. Size: 4' 3" x 6' 4". The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
