Silk Ghom, 3' 6" x 5' 6", a compact antique rug of silk with a refined nested octagonal medallion and narrow floral guards. The central field reads in warm rust tones, threaded with vertical leafy motifs in blue and green and framed by soft neutral bands. Silk gives a subtle sheen and a tactile softness; the pattern remains crisply resolved despite gentle age-related mellowing. Condition is low-distress with even pile and restrained abrash that adds depth to the palette. The piece feels both intimate and finely finished, a study in small-scale drawing and silk craft.
