Narrow cream and white guard stripes and layered geometric borders frame the central lattice; neutral tones are softened by even abrash. The wool has a dry, tactile hand and the surface shows medium distress with softened outlines and gentle wear that reads as patina. Subtle color shifts animate the design and lend a quiet, measured rhythm to the piece. This antique rug retains a restrained, heritage-aware presence. Circa 1885 - 1900
