An oval Needle Point piece worked in wool, its cream ground warmed by faded white and soft blue ribbon garlands and scattered rose sprays. The stitched medallion centres on a tied tassel and looping laurel, the surface showing medium wear and a tactile patina that reveals soft abrash and edge fray. This small antique rug, 1' 6" x 1' 9", reads as a miniature tapestry of domestic craft: restrained ornament, muted colour shifts, and the quiet evidence of use. Circa 1880 - 1900. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
