This Hook antique rug measures 8' 10" x 12' 0" and reads like a study in restraint. Repeating cream roundels sit within a disciplined dark ground, each with a faded floral scatter and small star connectors that make a measured lattice. Woven in wool, the piece shows even abrash and a soft, low pile that yields a velvety, tactile surface; there are small abrasions and a minor edge repair that attest to age.
