This Yazd presents a saturated blue field patterned with refined cream and ivory foliate arabesques and palmettes, the composition set within a broad, pale border. The wool pile retains a soft, low-sheen finish; subtle abrash gives the blue field a lived, luminous depth. Measures 9' 10" x 18' 6". The motifs read like a restrained, late-classical garden: scrolling vines, boteh accents and medallion-adjacent palmettes worked in delicate neutral tones. An antique rug with restrained wear and intact borders, it feels tactile, quietly patinated and architecturally poised. Circa 1950 - 1965.
