A narrow Sarab runner woven in wool, this antique rug reads as a study in concentrated color and small-scale pattern. The deep indigo field is populated by a repeating boteh and diamond lattice, punctuated by a restrained medallion and delicate light-blue guard stripes. Brick-red main borders and warm tan margins frame the composition, producing a quiet, dimensional palette. The pile shows low distress and a gentle hand-aged patina, with subtle abrash along the field that softens the geometry. Circa 1900 - 1915. Measurements: 3' 4" x 10' 7". The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
