The field’s rich browns and neutral ground are balanced by cream and white highlights, producing a subtle, aged contrast across the length. Borders of repeating floral rosettes frame the field with quiet rhythm while the pointed ends reference an architectural composition. Surface wear is modest and sympathetic, leaving pile and pattern legible with a soft, tactile hand. This antique rug carries a collected, heritage presence. Circa 1895 - 1910.
