A refined silk Kysari rendered in a soft neutral field, this antique rug reads as an exercise in restraint and patina. Delicate floral vines unfurl from a faded central medallion into angular corner cartouches, with thin multi-band borders framing the composition. The silk weave has mellowed to luminous creams and whispered coral and blue accents, its surface softened by medium distress and subtle abrash. Measurements are 5' 0" x 6' 7". Circa 1910 - 1925. The overall effect is tactile and quietly formal, a well-aged textile that retains clarity of pattern while wearing the calm of long use.
