A quietly refined Mallayer in soft neutral wool, the field rendered as a low-contrast diagonal lattice of small floral and boteh forms. The narrow guard borders remain legible against a warm cream ground, the surface revealing a lived-in, tactile patina. Medium distress and subtle abrash lend a muted, layered complexion to the weave while small, sympathetic repairs mark its history. This antique rug measures 3' 9" x 6' 5" and reads as restrained, almost textile-like in its colour harmonies. Circa 1900 - 1920. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
