A long, quietly patterned Mallayer runner in wool, the field arranged around an elongated mihrab and dense palmette repeats. The neutral, brown, cream and white palette reads as softened and atmospheric, the design retaining crisp geometric medallions beneath a mellow patina. Medium distress brings abrash across the field and gentle thinning in high areas, a tactile history visible in the pile and borders. This antique rug is compelling for its layered colour and measured wear. Circa 1890 - 1905. Dimensions: 6' 4" x 13' 7". The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
