An expansive Yazd woven in wool, this antique rug shows a layered field of navy and powder blues set against warm beige and cream. The design reads as linked medallions and palmettes forming a restrained floral lattice, framed by a narrow ornate border. Surface abrash and medium overall wear have softened the pattern and lent the pile a tactile, timeworn patina. The scale and nuance of the blues and neutrals give the piece a quiet, composed presence. Measurements: 14' 0" x 25' 4". Circa 1915 - 1930.
