A Dorokhsh of generous scale, this antique rug presents a softly aged neutral field shot through with cream highlights and ink-dark floral accents. The 15' 0" x 19' 7" format reveals an all-over boteh and floral lattice, its repeating curved motifs breathing within a series of narrow, layered borders. Time has lifted the original contrast into a mellow palette, the wool pile showing even abrash and medium wear that enhance a textile sense of age and tactility. The hand-worn surface reads as a quiet, architectural ground, an object of craft and restraint with a measured historical presence. Circa 1885 - 1905
