This Dorokhsh antique rug measures 10' 0" x 13' 5" and carries a softly layered field of floral sprays, framed by multiple narrow borders that keep the composition grounded. Wool gives the surface a warm, lived-in handle, while the palette moves between cream, brown, muted teal, and faded red with a weathered clarity. Areas of visible wear and fading flatten parts of the design and lend it a hushed, time-softened presence. Circa 1885 - 1915, it reads as both decorative and restrained, with enough pattern movement to hold the eye without feeling busy.
