This Tabriz antique rug measures 9' 10" x 12' 3" and carries the restrained elegance of a time-softened Persian design. A faded cream and brown field holds a delicate central medallion, while scrolling florals and palmettes trace the borders in muted blue-green and grey. The composition feels open yet refined, with worn areas that soften the pattern rather than erase it. Circa 1920 - 1935, the wool surface shows a medium distressed hand that deepens its quiet, lived-in presence and highlights the subtle layering of the design. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
