This Kysari antique rug, woven in silk and sized at 6' 5" x 9' 0", carries a hushed palette of neutral white, cream, pale blue, and softened taupe. The composition turns around a layered central medallion, with floral tracery and radiating leaf forms gathered inside a fine border of delicate blossoms and vinework. Circa 1920 - 1940, its medium wear lends the surface a quietly aged sheen, with fading that softens the pattern and gives the field an airy, timeworn presence.
