This Tabriz antique rug measures 10' 8" x 17' 1" and is woven in wool with a restrained neutral palette that reads as sand, taupe, and warm brown. The field carries an all-over floral lattice softened by age, while the border layers fine repeating ornament around a quiet central presence. Its surface shows medium distress, with visible fading and worn passages that lend the piece a lived-in, tactile depth. Circa 1920 - 1940, it holds the composed balance and fine patterning associated with the Tabriz tradition, translated here into a gently timeworn textile with a calm, collected atmosphere.
