This Mallayer antique rug measures 3' 5" x 13' 7", offering a long, narrow format with a richly packed field and a disciplined border sequence. The red ground is animated by geometric medallions, small floral details, and dark outer borders that deepen the contrast. Wool gives the surface a dry, tactile hand, while visible wear and softened colour lend the piece a settled, lived-in presence.
