This Lilihan antique rug, 4' 2" x 4' 6", carries a softened, timeworn elegance in wool with a muted sage ground and warm notes of gold, brown, rust, and faded blue. A restrained central floral field is framed by a narrow border of trailing vines and small blossoms, creating a balanced composition that feels both orderly and lyrical. Circa 1910 - 1925, the surface shows medium distress, with visible wear that has mellowed the colour and blurred the design just enough to deepen its atmosphere without losing its decorative rhythm.
