The long field is organized by repeating lattice-like floral motifs, framed by layered borders that alternate small geometric details with scrolling ornament. Its wool pile shows visible age, with faded colour, gentle abrashed passages, and a relaxed, time-softened character throughout. Circa 1900 - 1930, it carries the quiet balance and restrained decorative rhythm often associated with Khotan weaving, while retaining a tactile presence that feels grounded and collected.
