This Turkaman Kalat antique rug measures 4' 6" x 6' 6" and presents a richly layered field of geometric boteh-like forms, small tribal marks, and a bold central medallion set against warm ivory and cream. Deep red, burgundy, black, and green borders frame the composition with clear graphic rhythm, while the wool surface shows a softly worn hand and restrained distress. The balance of dense pattern and open ground gives the piece a calm tension. Circa 1970 - 1985, it carries the grounded character and textured colour of a well-kept antique rug.
