This Tabriz antique rug, measuring 12' 8" x 19' 2", carries a softened allover floral pattern in neutral taupe, brown, cream, white, muted red, and faded blue. The border remains legible while the field has broken into a painterly wash, giving the surface a layered, timeworn clarity. Woven in wool, it has high distress and visible fading that temper the design without erasing it. Circa 1920 - 1940, it reads with the quiet depth and aged patina that define a well-worn Tabriz. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
