This Dorokhsh antique rug measures 10' 5" x 16' 3" and presents a layered composition softened by age. A faded central medallion sits within a field of floral motifs, framed by decorative borders that still hold traces of blue, coral, cream, and brown. The wool surface shows medium distress, with areas of worn colour and a gently washed finish that gives the design an airy, painterly quality. Circa 1910 - 1930, it carries the quiet balance and ornamented character associated with the Dorokhsh tradition, while its long proportions and timeworn palette lend depth and restraint.
