This Kysari antique rug, 4' 2" x 6' 0", is rendered in silk with a faded, luminous hand that softens its layered ornament into a quiet visual field. A framed composition surrounds the centre, where a suspended motif and delicate floral accents sit within a worn, architectural arrangement of borders and cartouches. Cream, neutral beige, muted red, and traces of blue shape a refined, time-softened palette. Circa 1880 - 1900, the surface shows medium distress, with visible fading and abrasion that lend depth and understatement to the piece.
