This Kysari antique rug, woven in silk, measures 4' 2" x 5' 10" and carries a softened, timeworn surface with a composed, luminous hand. An open blue field anchors a faded floral medallion, while corner spandrels and a layered border in brown, cream, and red frame the design with quiet intricacy. Circa 1895 - 1910, the palette has mellowed into a restrained balance of neutral tones and weathered colour, allowing the ornament to read with clarity. Its low distress preserves the structure of the pattern while lending the piece an easy, atmospheric grace.
