This Kysari antique rug, 10' 9" x 14' 4", is woven in silk and presents a softly aged composition with a luminous red field, cream ground, and delicate white detailing. The central medallion is finely drawn, then surrounded by layered floral borders that keep the eye moving across the full surface. Circa 1925 - 1940, the rug shows medium distress, with visible fading and a weathered hand that lends depth to the palette. Its tonal shifts and worn sheen give the piece a grounded, collected presence without losing the elegance of its original design.
