This Kysari antique rug measures 4' 3" x 5' 9" and carries a softly worn, silk surface with a restrained but layered presence. A central medallion opens into an intricate field of floral and arabesque forms, framed by multiple borders that keep the composition balanced and intimate. Neutral ground tones are lifted by brown, muted red, and faded rose accents, with touches of soft purple woven through the border. The pile shows medium distress and gentle fading, giving the piece a quiet patina. Circa 1900 - 1915. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
