This Khotan antique rug measures 4' 5" x 7' 8" and presents a layered field of red, cream, and muted blue-grey ornament. A sequence of circular medallions anchors the composition, while stepped corner devices and a Greek-key border frame the design with quiet precision. Small roundel accents soften the larger geometry and add rhythm across the field. The wool surface shows low distress, with age-softened fading and a comfortably worn hand. Circa 1900 - 1930, it carries the restrained clarity and textural depth that define the finest woven Khotan examples.
