This Afshar antique rug measures 4' 5" x 5' 3" and carries the grounded warmth and graphic rhythm associated with village weaving. A cream field is filled with repeating geometric forms in rust red, charcoal, and muted blue, then set within a richly patterned border that adds a denser, more ornamented frame. The surface shows soft wear and a lived-in hand, which lends the design a quieter, time-worn depth.
