This Kysari antique rug measures 6' 3" x 9' 7" and presents a hushed, silk-washed surface with a soft ivory ground touched by blush pink and muted taupe. The central medallion and floral border remain visible, though gently dissolved by age, giving the composition a layered, atmospheric depth. High distress has left the pattern tender and worn, with a silky finish that still catches the light. Circa 1855 - 1870, it reads as quietly decorative, balanced between formal structure and the softness of long, lived-in time. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
