This Kurd antique rug measures 4' 1" x 9' 10" and offers a long, narrow field animated by layered geometric forms in wool. A pale ivory ground supports stepped motifs, small blossoms, and angular tribal devices, while indigo, rust, camel, and coral accents give the composition a grounded, collected rhythm. Multiple borders in deep black, red, and blue frame the design with clarity. Circa 1885 - 1900, the surface shows low distress, with softened pile and light fringe wear that preserve its character without overwhelming the pattern. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
