This Kurd antique rug measures 3' 3" x 17' 7" and reads as a long, layered composition with a light central field framed by darker, densely ornamented side panels. The palette moves through cream, red, burgundy, muted teal, and soft brown, with time-softened contrast that gives the surface a quiet, worn glow. Narrow borders and repeated geometric-floral motifs create rhythm from end to end, while visible fading and abrasion add depth without overwhelming the pattern. Circa 1900 - 1930, it carries the restrained character and elongated presence often associated with refined village weaving.
