This Dorokhsh antique rug measures 8' 8" x 12' 0" and reads with a timeworn, understated elegance. Wool in neutral brown, white, and cream has softened into a pale, layered field, where the original floral pattern now appears as a delicate ghost beneath broad areas of wear. A narrow border of small motifs still frames the composition, giving structure to the faded centre. Circa 1900 - 1920, it carries the depth and quiet texture that only age can create, with a well-worn surface that feels both restrained and deeply atmospheric.
