This Kysari antique rug in silk measures 6' 4" x 9' 6" and carries a pictorial field softened by age, with a layered red centre set against pale blue, ivory, and camel grounds. Tree forms, small animals, and figured scenes emerge beneath a well-worn surface, while the border holds its outline in muted navy and warm sand tones. The silk gives the piece a gentle sheen, even as the medium distress creates a subdued, timeworn hand. Circa 1900 - 1920, it reads as a textile with depth, restraint, and atmospheric presence.
