This Tabriz antique rug measures 9' 2" x 13' 2" and carries the faded elegance that comes from age and use. The wool field is washed into a pale, weathered ground, while the outer border still holds onto richer notes of indigo, rose, teal, moss, and gold. Floral ornament remains visible throughout, with an allover garden-like rhythm and layered framing that gives the composition structure even as the surface has softened. Circa 1900 - 1920, this piece reads as restrained, atmospheric, and quietly intricate, with medium distress that lends depth rather than disorder.
