This Tabriz antique rug measures 8' 3" x 11' 1" and presents a time-softened field of blue, cream, and white with quiet neutral notes throughout. The composition layers floral medallions, rosettes, and scrolling forms beneath a finely bordered frame, creating a restrained yet richly worked surface. Wear has mellowed the contrast and blurred the drawing in places, giving the rug a lived-in softness that suits its age. Circa 1930 - 1950, it carries the balanced symmetry and decorative detail associated with Tabriz weaving, while the wool pile lends a tactile, grounded presence.
