This Mallayer antique rug measures 11' 2" x 17' 10" and presents an orderly allover field of boteh-like forms, leafy stems, and a layered border system that keeps the composition grounded and intricate at once. The dark ground lends contrast to the softened cream, brown, and muted blue accents, while visible wear and gentle fading give the surface a calm, timeworn patina.
