This Mallayer antique rug measures 13' 1" x 20' 3" and presents a richly worn field of softened medallions, floral latticework, and layered border detail. Wool pile carries a muted palette of cream, ivory, faded peach, soft blue, charcoal, and dusty navy, with a timeworn surface that flattens the pattern into a painterly field. The composition remains legible despite heavy distress, giving the design an atmospheric depth and a quietly architectural frame. Circa 1915 - 1940, it reads as both formal and faded, with the character of age woven into every register.
