This Mallayer antique rug measures 9' 8" x 12' 6" and carries a softly worn, layered field in faded blue, cream, and taupe. The allover floral composition feels rhythmic but restrained, framed by a narrow border of rosettes and botanical detail that keeps the design grounded. Areas of abrash and surface fading lend the piece an airy, time-softened character, while the wool pile retains enough definition to hold the pattern. Circa 1920 - 1940, it reads as elegant and quietly aged, with the weathered surface giving depth to its refined Mallayer identity.
