This Mallayer antique rug measures 3' 4" x 13' 0" and presents a long, refined composition with a dark navy field, coral red accents, and a soft cream ground. A repeating chain of floral and medallion forms runs through the centre, framed by narrow borders and an articulated floral outer border that keeps the design crisp despite its age. The wool surface shows low distress, with mellow fading and a gently worn handle that gives the piece an understated, layered presence. Circa 1910 - 1940. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
